I was in awe of the living room and so badly wanted a picture. But the main thing I want to discuss is the violence. To be honest I mainly watched this just because I heard it’s very disturbing and I wanted to see how much of an exaggeration that was, especially after hearing it was censored by the MPAA. This is another home that is still on my to-visit list. So, is “The House That Jack Built” hollow provocation or dense commentary? It’s undeniably too long (153 minutes), often meandering through the same points over and over again in a way that becomes numbing, but there’s something more complex here than I think its critics are willing to see.
